Starlight Express has returned to the recording studio to launch a new Deluxe Edition cast album. Combining a full cast recording with eight newly commissioned remixes, the album offers audiences both a faithful preservation of the score and a set of fresh interpretations.
The album was produced at Air Edel Studios by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Matthew Brind and Andrei Basirov. Cast members include Jeevan Braich as Rusty, Kayna Montecillo as Pearl, Al Knott as Greaseball, Eve Humphrey as Dinah, and Tom Pigram as Electra.
In addition to digital formats, three collectible CD editions were produced, each themed around character pairings: Rusty & Hydra, Greaseball & Dinah, and Electra & Pearl. Fans are encouraged to support their chosen “team” by streaming and purchasing the corresponding edition, with one team symbolically crowned champion later in the run.
The London production of Starlight Express continues at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.
