A super busy Spring at Ovation Rights

The Olivier Awards, the Tony Awards, new openings and new starters were all in a packed Q2 for Team Ovation Rights

8 Jul 2026

Back in April we were proud to be a partner with Society of London Theatre and the Olivier Awards for its 50th Anniversary at the Royal Albert Hall. The Ovation Rights team were out in force to support The Phantom of the Opera which celebrated its 40th Anniversary with a special performance for the BBC.

Over in New York, Cats: The Jellicle Ball opened on Broadway to huge acclaim, winning 3 Tony Awards! Masquerade continues to play to sell-out audiences and Diane Paulus and the creative collaborators were honoured with a special award at the Drama Desk Awards.

Jamie, Phil and the team joined Noah Fosse to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Bob Fosse’s Chicago at the Tony Awards and celebrated Tony season with WME, UTA, and our US partners before attending the Music Investor Conference in New York.

In Paris, Chicago completed it’s run with the international tour moving to Japan this summer.

Back in the UK, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang launched a new production at the Watermill Theatre and Starlight Express concluded it’s 2 year residency in London.

Beyond the stage Phil and Steuart were in Barcelona at Earth 05 & Summit 333 AI Safety Europe and Ovation Rights hosted the Entrepreneurs Collective, Michael Blakely and Louis Julien for an evening dedicated to innovation, entrepreneurship and investment where founders could pitch their vision in an Angel speed pitching environment.

Finally, we are delighted to welcome Leah Matthes who joins Ovation Rights from The Public Theater in NY!

A packed and inspiring few months – and plenty more to come over a busy Summer.
